Mary Alice Dorrance Malone, the largest shareholder of the Campbell Soup Co. has a net worth of just over $1 billion, according to Forbes’ 33rd annual ranking of the world’s billionaires.
The ranking includes 2,153 people – 55 fewer than last year – who have a combined wealth of $8.7 trillion.
Malone, 69, sits on Campbell’s board alongside her billionaire brother, Bennett Dorrance. Their grandfather, John T.
Dorrance Sr., invented the condensed-soup formula that transformed the company in 1897.
Malone is often seen at equestrian sporting events, and she owns estates and performance centers in Pennsylvania and Florida.
