Masino Intaray was born in the idyllic valley of Makagwa, nestled in the shadow of the majestic Mantalingayan mountain in Brooke’s Point, Palawan. As a proud member of the Pala'wan indigenous community, Masino grew up in a society that upheld the principle of equality and believed that no individual could claim ownership of the land, water, or sky.

The Pala'wans recognized the intrinsic value of nature and strived to coexist with it in peace and harmony. This philosophy shaped Masino's outlook on life, and he grew to love and cherish the natural world that surrounded him, making it an integral part of his identity.

Growing up in a community that deeply valued the harmony and peace shared between humans and the natural environment, Masino Intaray developed a profound love and respect for literature and the performing arts.
